I never knew Fretilin had this much support. I guess I was wrong. And Alkatiri. I thought he would be hated by the Timorese but here he is addressing the crowd of people. If John Howard did the same in Australia he would be pelted with eggs and tomatoes. This Timor thing makes me confused!
Parabéns ba povu Lospalos nian. Parabéns também aos líderes da Fretilin por fazerem um discurso positivo e contribuirem para a paz e a competição leal entre todos os candidatos presidenciais.
Sou admirador de Lu Olo pelas suas origens humildes e por ser um homem simples, apesar de ter muita força de vontade. O seu rosto sorridente não deixa perceber os sacrifícios que fez durante a guerra. Aquilo que é hoje, deve-o exclusivamente ao seu mérito e esforço. Mas ele é ambicioso, no bom sentido, e quer sempre progredir mais. A prova disso é que se matriculou no curso de Direito. Um exemplo para os mais jovens, para que não desistam nunca, nem se dêem por vencidos.

if only journalists are willing to travel outside of dili and talk to people, i think there will be much less confusion. on the other hand, don't forget that these are photos from the campaign in ossu, lu-olo's birthplace. but i do agree, howard wouldn't be able to do that even in earlwood!
correction for last person that commented: these photo are NOT from Ossu. These photos are from Los Palos...
FYI
Los Palos had around 7 thousand people who went to the FRETILIN's consolidation.
Laga, where the consolidation was held on the next day had more than 6 thousand people.
and today, in Ossu, where Lu Olo launched the campaign, there were more than 10 thousand.
